The last one, Helicopter Cap, is sure not so strange to you.

Most of us will associate it with Doraemon's Bamboo Dragonfly.

Of course, Doraemon's treasure devices are good examples

for this assignment as well.

The following are some of the creative devices the students have invented in class. Choose the one you want to own most, and state your reason.

Device 2010505: Smart Chef

Description: In 2020, I want to invent a machine to help me cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. This machine has a cute appearance in a form of a mouse, called Smart Chef. All we have to do is tell it what we want to the right ear and put the recipe into the left ear; then, wait for the dish coming from its mouth. What a magic, right? Smart Chef will be the best chef throughout the world in the future.

Device 2010509: Magic Sofa

Description: I want to invent a special sofa, in 2020, with several special functions. If you just wash the hair, it will help to dry it. If you just lie in it comfortably, it will provide the service of massage. What’s more, when you sit in the Magic Sofa watching TV, it will feed you popcorn automatically. I believe it will sell out the moment it is on the market!

Device 2010518: Dream

Description: I will want to invent a device in 2020 to build a bridge between human beings and dogs. To many dog lovers, they must want to know what their pets think and how they feel. This special dog collar, called Dream, can translate dog’s language into a human one. You can translate it into Chinese or English or any other language you understand at will. In return, it can translate ours into dog’s language also. 

 

Device 2010520: Insect Remover

Description: I would like to own an automatic insect elimination device ten years later, so that I won’t have to wake up at midnight for the noisy mosquito or look at the disgusting cockroach on the wall. With the Insect Remover, all the worries like these will disappear. Insect Remover will search for any insect you hate and destroy it in no time! Then, what a peaceful world it will be in 2020!

Device 2010523: Magic Door

Description: By the year 2010, I may want to travel around the world by myself. To solve the problem of time and money, I’ll invent a Magic Door, which can take me anywhere just as I want. All I have to do is as follows. Fist, put a picture in front of the door. Next, knock it three times. Then, step into the door and you will be in the place of the picture! Isn’t it convenient? 

Device 2010531: Trip Tube

Description: I want to invent a device which can transport me to wherever I want to go in a minute. The instant transportation takes no energy, with little expense. The machine, Trip Tube, is long enough for everyone to stand inside and transparent for careful examination. With it, we can save the time for commuting and travel around the world more easily!

Device 2010538: Magic Car

Description: I want to invent a multi-functioned flying car, like Howl’s moving castle, in 2020. Magic Car is not only energy-saving but also self-cleaning, owing to its high-tech brain and the body covered with solar-energy panels. With it, you don’t have to worry about being late for school or work, you won’t miss any important meetings, and it will turn up as soon as you call it. How magical this car is!

 
 Device 2010540: Secret Assistant

Description: In 2020, I will be eager to have the robot Secret Assistant. It is foldable in a size of a doll, so that I can take it in my purse. Its color will change with my mood: pink stands for happiness, red for passion, and black for sadness. When I feel frustrated, I’ll chat with it, and in return Secret Assistant will give me some advice or encouragement. Besides, you can keep a vocal diary in it, and key in your health records, daily schedules and anything else you want to keep record of. With such a great invention, everyone can lead a good life in the future.

Device 2010626: Anti-Hunter

Description: By the year 2010, I want to invent a device to help extinct animals, especially those killed out by human beings. The device is called Anti-Hunter, which can be applied to any creature on earth. For example, if a fish is built in Anti-Hunter, it will be warned when human hunters come closer. As a result, they can escape from the fate of extinction.  

Device 2010637: All-AutoWasher

Description: The sun-powered robot in 2020 will do the cloth washing automatically. The robot All-AutoWasher will take the washed clothes out of the washing machine and then hang them under the sun. After the clothes are completely dried, it will take them back and fold them neatly. What a time-saving device!

The following are some of the creative devices the students have invented in class. Choose the one you want to own most, and state your reason.

Device 2010405: TransTalk

Description: By 2020, a translation machine will be invented, called TransTalk. The machine has a main device and a pair of earphones. The main device will record what a foreigner says and translate it to the user’s mother tongue. The user can listen to the translation by earphone at the very same time. It can translate what the user says into the foreign language, and then broadcast it through the speaker on the main device. TransTalk will enable people of different languages to communicate easily, and we don’t have to learn foreign languages anymore!

Device 2010408: Fashion-Come-True

Description: I’d like to have a special device in 2020 to show me all the information about fashion and it will make what is in real! With this device, such lazy girls as me won’t go shopping too often, for the machine will provide us with everything hot, including clothes, shoes, and accessories. All you have to do is just touch the screen with one finger. 

 
Device 2010409: AutoTub

Description: With the Autotub, you can even sleep while taking a bath. AutoTub will clean your body thoroughly, in a very tender way, so you don’t have to worry about getting hurt or drowned. You can set up the water temperature, massage strength and time as you like. In 2020, you must have one AutoTub. Then, you will enjoy a relaxing bath every day! 

Device 2010415: Everywhere Door

Description: In 2020, I will invent a door leading to everywhere I want to go. In that case, the environment will improve, because the carbon dioxide won’t increase without cars and airplanes. It will be a new means of transportation—Everywhere Door! No matter where you’d like to go, scenic spots or movie theaters, bookstores or department stores, just open the Everywhere Door, and you will make it!

Device 2010416: SuperPen

Description: In 2020, I’ll invent a pen which can help students always spell right! It is SuperPen! When you write down something, you don’t have to care about your spelling. That’s because a SuperPen will precisely correct your misspellings, and what’s better, make each of your sentences perfect. Above all, it can be applied to every language in the world, including English, Chinese and Japanese.

Device 2010422: Sleep Capsule

Description: To solve the problem of insomnia that many people suffer from, a special device will be invented in 2020, called Sleep Capsule. When you lie in the capsule, with fragrance and soft music, you will feel so relaxed and comfortable that you will fall asleep soon. What’s more, you can even choose what kind of dream you want to have; of course, you can choose a sound sleep without dreams.

 
Device 2010424: Smart Glasses

 Description: By the year 2020, a special device called Smart Glasses will make a wonder. It will help the one wearing Smart Glasses to collect any information and then show it on the lenses. With Smart Glasses, students can get good grades easily. They don’t need to stay up late studying hard, because the lenses will show you everything you need at once!

Device 2010434: Roach Killer

Description: By 2020, we will have a robot called Roach Killer. The robot will be of course bigger than any kind of cockroaches. With their favorite smell, it will attract roaches to get close to. Roach Killer is equipped with some needle-like arms, built-in insecticides, tissues and a big bag. After getting rid of a roach, Roach Killer will put the dead body in the bag and clean the scene up. What a device!

Device 2010437: Food Maker

Description: By the year 2020, the population on earth will increase, and we might suffer from the lack for food. To solve the problem, I will design a machine, Food Maker, to save the human beings. The steps of operation are quite simple: First, pour some water in. Next, key in what you want to eat on Screen One, and you can draw out the food you imagine in your mind on Screen Two. Last, wait for a while, and a delicious dish will be ready. Then, enjoy the cuisine!

Device 2010438: Easy-Go

Description: I want to invent a pair of shoes with wings by the year 2020. With Easy-Go, you can fly in the sky without making any pollution, and you won’t get stuck in the traffic jam anymore. However, you have to notice not to bump into birds. Easy-Go has a built-in GPS device, so that you can fly straight to the place you want to without the risk of getting lost. It is powered by sunlight—so environmentally-friendly!
